About
South Pasadena
South
Pasadena is considered one of Southern California's most
charming and desirable communities. It contains some of
the state's best examples of Craftsman-style architecture,
as well as a well-preserved historic shopping district.
The town also has excellent public schools and an extremely
low crime rate. Tree-lined streets and community activities
make for a small-town ambience, yet commuters face a short
seven mile commute to downtown Los Angeles and an even
shorter commute to neighboring Pasadena or nearby Glendale.
South
Pasadena was incorporated in 1888, making it one of the
state's oldest communities. The town contains a variety
of housing options, from apartments and bungalows to tract
homes and mansions.
